چکیده

Abstract We have evaluated the effects of different fish feeds on body composition, growth, and enzyme activities Labeo rohita (Rohu). In total, 240 fishes between average weights 24.77±2.15g were studied. The treatments applied in a completely randomized design, with 4 60 each. Treatments consisted four [Oryza (T1), AMG (T2), Aqua (T3), Supreme (T4)]. Body growth performance, evaluated. There was significant variation performance fed type feed; as having Oryza feed showed highest weight gain, specific rate (SGR), best conversion ratio (FCR) compared to other groups that considered be (P ? 0.05). High net gain obtained T4 when T2 T3. FCR value less than T1 but higher T2, T3 which lowest values. recorded T4, led high SGR Similarly, crude protein level digestive enzymes activity significantly (T1) (T4). Water quality parameters all except pH DO treatment from treatments. It concluded Rohu (Labeo rohita) could show promising protease 25% protein.

Digestive Enzyme Activities in Different Size Groups and Segments of the Digestive Tract in Labeo Rohita

In culture operations, the efficiency of a feed in promoting maximum growth in animal depends not only on its nutritive profile, but also on the animal’s inherent ability to consume, digest, absorb and metabolize the nutrients from the feed. Nutrient utilization in aquatic animals depends on the activity of their digestive enzymes [1,2]. Digestive processes in fish are less known than in animal...

Evaluation of growth performance and body composition of great sturgeon (Huso huso) juveniles fed with different levels of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid

In this study, the effect of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) was evaluated on growth performance and body composition in beluga (Huso huso) juveniles. For this purpose, a total of 225 beluga juveniles with initial weight 38.47 ± 0.58 gr (Mean ±   Standard Division) were fed with five treatments with three replications including 0 g/kg EDTA (Control, C), 5 g/kg EDTA (EDTA 5), 10 g/kg ED...

Effect of sub lethal concentration of imidacloprid on proximate body composition of Labeo rohita

Randomly selected 320 fingerling of Labeo rohita were collected from Faheem fish farm, Mattital Road, Multan. Groups of 40 fish each were exposed to subleathal concentration of imidacloprid (120 mg L-1) under short (2, 4 and 8 days) and long term (16, 32 and 64 days) conditions to access the effect of this most extensively used pesticide on the body composition parameters of economically most i...

Immunostimulatory effects of curcumin in fish, Labeo rohita (H.)

Curcumin, an orange-yellow phytochemical, hydrophobic and polyphenolic compound of turmeric (Curcuma longa Linn.), has been known to be a potent immunomodulatory agent in mice, horse, human and other higher vertebrates. In the present study, we have found its immunostimulatory properties in fish Labeo rohita (H.). Curcumin at low doses (15 and 1.5 μg) significantly (P<0.05) increased some non-s...
